This was a piece I did for a friend from the bouldering gym I frequently visit, he approached me with a chain sawn, rough cut cookie slab from a Tasmanian Blackwood tree that was dropped. He specifically requested the underside remained rough sawn to show the chain cuts. Unfortunately it had a fair bit of pest damage, however I was able to fill the damage with resin to maintain the integrity of the piece.
I leveled the base of the piece by using rubber feet in opposing corners. The end result certainly was magnificent.
